Tough Weekend

My apologies...again...pictures of pictures.
The McCoy Family

Church was pretty hard this morning, as we all knew it would be. Meals are taken care of for
the next who-knows-how long. Clothes are taken care of for the little ones. The bigger boys will get decked out and taken care of tomorrow. Christina had many outfits to choose from tonight...and looked great in them all. I love my church. I love the people. I love the staff. Loving and taking care of people....it's what they do. The McCoy's have great neighbors. They have had nothing but help from the Air Force..taking care of everything. Taking care of their soldier and his family. They (the Air Force) will get Aaron and his family back to Pennsylvania for a service and burial. Christina is very moved by their care and compassion. I met Aaron's parents today. David and Linda McCoy. Now I know why Aaron was like he was. Wonderful Christian people. They did well by Aaron and I told them that. They said that it was the Lord. I think they had a small hand in it as well. Pray for Christina's family. While they are here to support her during this time...pray that Christian influences will make a difference. Aaron consistently requested prayer for them. He would want that. Pray for Chassidy Mitchell. She was driving the car involved in the accident. John, the other cyclist and friend that was with Aaron, and our associate pastor have tried to make contact with her. Aaron would want that as well.
To those of you who have somehow found my blog...former co-workers, friends, Aaron's sister. I will pass on your comments, sympathies and condolences to Christina and the rest of the family. I never even dreamed that anyone I didn't know would read this blog. Know that we loved Aaron. We have suffered a great loss. Please rest assured that we WILL take care of Christina and their children. We will hold them, encourage them, love them....
Exodus 17
9) Moses said to Joshua, "Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalakites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands." 10) So Joshua fought the Amalakites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. 11) As long as Moses held up his hands, the Isrealites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalakites were winning. 12) When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up-one on one side, one on the other-so that his hands remained steady till sunset. 13) So Joshua overcame the Amalakite army with the sword.
We will hold your hands up, Christina...and be your stone
to sit upon when you're tired!

Mike and Samuel playing video games Saturday morning.

Mike playing nice and letting Chandler have a turn. Samuel also playing and Laynie watching.

Carson and Bennett.

Carson and Chandler after spending Sunday afternoon together.

Mike with the little ones. Bennett and Laynie.

Bennett wanted me to take a picture of his cars...as he's
saying "CHEESE".

Mike and the sweetest little thing ever.
Bennett modeling his new clothes.
Picture taken 2 weeks ago as he and Christina were
headed to a military formal.

I just wanted to pass along my email address. My name is Laurie Boerner and I left an earlier comment. I am truly sorry for the loss. I know Christina will continue to need encouragement and I would love to be able to get in touch with her at some point. Aaron was such a great man. My email address is lauriegb@gmail.com. Thank you for this blog. It has been a great source of information for me. Since moving from FL I have felt so out of touch and this is helping me to know that Christina is OK and being taken care of in such a great way. My sister is a military wife and it is comforting to know that the AF is so awesome in this time. Thanks again.
