Hit That Line....

Finally pictures.
In no particular order.
In no particular order because it's been so long since I've done pictures I have no idea how to move them in any type of order or move them for that matter.
Can anyone hook a sister up?
So here we go from the bee-hind order.
Fayetteville game against Troy.
On the way out of town Sunday morning we stopped by campus to see Lane's dorm. It was rainy and here are the best pics of my little lovelies at the stadium.

How is it to be so cool Carson?
This is the sign on the bathroom door of Lane's dorm.
Looking out of the window of Lane's hall. Good ole Uncle Mikey telling Lane stories about the brief time that he spent on campus...about the girls dorm next door - and how the boys would look into the girl's dorm. Nuff said. You can see Lane smiling!
The view from Lane's room.
Bud Walton arena.
Carson in all his coolness...again!
Aunt-ay Shannon and Unkie Mike

Lane and his dad, Kirk.
Chase chilling with the band. Tube to the left is a friend of his, Dustin Gilliland - an NP grad.
A fun weekend.
Oh NOW I see where he gets all his cool!!

Love this pic.

Lane on the jumbo-tron

4th from the front.
One the sidelines having fun.

Lane on the jumbo-tron

Hit that line-Hit that line...

Razorback Drum Line

Kicking it...

Lane in the middle of the screen.

Long legged kid dancing.

Fun times!

Thanks Doug and Laura for hosting us.

This Season

What I am most thankful for in this season of thankfulness is this precious man.Roy Rufus Strange.
I've blogged about him before.
He's my 88 year old Pawpaw.
I am so incredibly thankful that he is my Pawpaw.
A very kind and gentle man.
(Although I've heard a story or 2 about him back in the day being a bit of a rounder.)
Over the last several months I've learned some things about my Pawpaw. I've heard many stories relayed by my Dad about my Pawpaw's military experience. He is a WWII veteran. A veteran who was shot in the back of the head by a German sniper. He wears a plate in the back of his head because of it. He was discharged in the 1940's with 100% disability. One year later without explanation his disability was knocked down to 50%. Over the last 13 or so months my Dad has made it his personal mission to see that my Pawpaw is given what's due him from the last 60 + years. He has run the gamut at the VA and has contacted our State Senators. Progress is being made in the right direction.
He was awarded 8 medals for his military service. One being the Bronze Star with another being the Purple Heart.
This makes me proud.
He worked hard to care for his 4 kids, my mother being one of those 4. He loved my Grannie.
Mutt, as he is affectionately known, is nearing the end of his time.
Won't you pray for him?
He is the last of my grandparents.
I love this man.

The Honest Truth

The real truth is....Facebook is the devil.
It's an addiction.
For whatever reason.
I seriously have been missing my blog. I really don't much like to blog without pics but I don't have any pics on this here new computer that I'm using. It's a laptop. Thank God for laptops. I hated sitting at out old crappy computer. It was crappy and I hated the chair and the desk. I'm currently sitting in my bed because my sweet husband 'hooked us up' and we now have wireless Internet. I know - we're probably miles behind the real world in getting it but whatever. We now have it and I now am blogging.
Aren't you glad?
Maybe someday I'll catch you all up on the past few month but for now - we'll just start from here.
G is the man!
Mikey G is now the cook of the house!
And mommy like!
The last few years I have come to despise cooking.
Hate it.
I think it just overwhelms me because I think I have so many other things to do. Anybody that's been to my house in the last few years knows that I'm not much of a housekeeper.
My apologies if you have actually been IN my house.
Eee gads!
But anyway.
He's enjoying it and I'm LOVING it.
Thanks babe for caring enough to do it.
It's a short work week and I'm glad.
Maybe I'll see you back here tomorrow night?
What is is they used to say....same bat station something or other?

Yes It Is

It's me.
It is.
Let me try to explain.
Our computer at home was pretty dead.
I HATED getting on it and when I did...Mike was irritated that I WAS on it and because I was on it I wanted to cuss because it was a piece-o-crap.
I used to do a lot of my blogging at work.
Shhh...don't tell anybody.
We now have a Nazi boss who micro manages and we now have some type of mess on our machines that tracks where we go on line.
Needless to say...I don't get online much anymore.
I need my job!
I have to figure out how to download my pictures from my new camera again - I think I have to find a disc or something or other.
So be looking for more updates from me....that is-if you really DO read my blog, anymore.
I have a new phone.
A Blackberry.
I'll have to try and blog from there.
We'll just have to see about that now won't we.
I've missed you all!

Not For Another Hundred Years

What's the significance?
It's our little Kody's 22nd birthday!
How cool is that?

It won't happen again for another hundred years or so.

And Kody MAY just be around to see it!!!

Happy Birthday Kode-Man.

Just reach up there and feel those dents in your head and remember that happened 22 years ago today!

We love you, brother!

1st day of school last year.
Carson has certainly changed.
And he was none too happy that day.
This year he was SO excited - (See picture in post below)
This was I think 1st grade for Carson and Chase 1st day of middle school
Such babies.
I am a bit glad they're growing up, though.

Only One More

There will be only one more 1st day of school for these 2 knuckleheads.
Only one more together...that is!
I got to thinking and ALL 3 of our kids were only 'in school' at the same time for 3 years.
I guess that's what happens when they're each spaced 5 years apart.
My middle schooler.
Carson can now wear jeans to school.
Uniform shirts but khaki pants/shorts and or jeans.
I love it and so does he.
My Junior.
This picture makes me sad.
Carson walking up the street to the bus stop.
Chase driving to school.
Such a big boy.
Certainly beats those days of Cheesing it!
It was a good first day.

Just Hangin Out

Okay so I suck at blogging anymore.
I'm gonna do better.
Here's a few pics (yeah right- -only a few?) from our last night on va-k.
I learned of this place called The Hangout from a fellow blogger that I've followed for a really long time. I'll tell more about her later, though.
She's the total coolest!
We actually stayed in Perdido Key which is pretty much in between Gulf Shores and Pensacola. Not a whole lot to do there. Mike and I scoped this place out earlier in the week and decided we would certainly go there.

On Friday night, our last night, after taking family beach pics we headed on down. There was one person who WAS NOT happy about going there. This one person had a mind to go somewhere else.
Too bad.
We're going to hangout at The Hangout.
It's an open-air restaurant with so many things to do.
Sand for the little ones to play in, lots of seating as you wait....for AN HOUR AND A HALF!!!!
Is that how you spell that?
But can I tell you that it was so worth the wait.
We had SO stinkin much fun.
They had a band playing on a stage that rocked it.
And have I told you that this was THE best vacation that we've had (except for Disney World)?
We'll just have to take those Texans back on vacation with us again next year!
Mikey and Taylor
Lisa the SIL (sister-in-law)
Look closely...I'm not sure if she still has her tonsils or not.

They also had a pretty cool gift shop...these were Carson's shades he bought.

EVERYBODY just cackled at this picture.
Kyle's face is SO hilarious!
Mike and Sean playing one of the games.
They had these little ropes with some kind of round thing on the end of them and you had to try and throw the round thing onto a hook.
Mike thought he HAD to master it.
And of course he did.
Kody and his Auntie Lisa
I love this girl
And she loves me!
(I think)

Okay so my pictures are not in any sort of order.
The game.
Kody rocking it to the band.
They played GREAT music.
Everyone got a little enjoyment out of the glasses.
Taylor Kyle and Lisa
LOVE this picture.
Chase with another souvenir from the gift shop.
THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID was a running joke....ALL WEEK!
Don't ask.
Look at those curled up eye lashes--love them.

Ummm yeah that's Lisa dancing with Kody.
And yes - it's in the MIDDLE of the restaurant.
Look at Sean's face...that's what cracks me up even more.
This was our view (the moon) while we had dinner.
Another view of the sandy play area.
Air piano.

This kid was hilarious ALL week!
So funny we ALL wanted to hit him!
See what I mean?
Kody Sean and Kyle
This was one of the seating/waiting areas. Just a beachy little are that almost looked like a bed. I'm sure it has some for real name but Kyle thought he would strike a sexy pose here and begged me to take his picture. Check out the girl behind him.
Yeah, honey, he's from Texas.
He don't get out much!
Kody with his Aunt Lisa.
Just the picture I've always wanted of the 2 of them for the family photo album!
Notice Lisa has one finger hiding?
Her nail was broken.
And again.
Must be Kody's sexy face.
Once again - ??????
Taylor and foam
A foam booth for the kids.
I told you this place was cool!
Even Carson rocked his own shades drinking his strawberry daiquiri
Virgin of course!
Guess who ended up having a great time at The Hangout?
The same person who didn't want to go!
Playing while waiting.

More Foosball.
Sean Mike and Chase

Waiting area by the stage.

Be sure and swing by The Hangout.
You'll have a blast.
Anf oh by the way, Kody-
