We Have A Hog!

This is Lane.
One of the best kids ever.
He's a pretty good looking kid.
And sweet as ever.
Smart.
Whoa is that boy smart.
He plays the drums, too.
You probably can't see it but that's a Hog on his jacket.
Lane's gonna be a HOG!
You Go Lane!
We're so proud of you!
And on a side note....
Carson tried out last night for the Northwood band.
He is now a percussionist for the Northwood Knight Band!
Woooooo-hooo!
Go Carson!
He is SO excited.
He was strutting around that school last night like nobody's business.
Dear Lord he looked like his daddy!
The best band director ever will be Carson's percussion teacher...Ms. D!
He's pretty pumped about that, too!

Petit Jean Continued

Well when my blog wouldn't let me post pics anymore I was right in the middle of posting the rest of my pictures on our excursion to Petit Jean Mountain from the weekend of Thanksgiving.
I know you all have been itching for the rest (sarcasm) so here they are.
We stopped on the way up in Morrilton to eat.
Carson and Kyle at Wendy's
Taylor and her Nana
These were our passengers for most of the trip.
Look at the blue eyes amongst these children.
I love Carson's face here.
Petit Jean here we come!

Carson exploring a cave.

Petit Jean's grave.

Outside the Visitors Center
Kyle and his Nana

This was such an incredibly fun trip.
We missed Kody but we had fun without him.
Lots of memories!

The New Goods

Here they are.
One of my most favoritest Christmas presents ever.

I LOVE LOVE this camera.
I am so far from even knowing how to use it though.
I really need to just sit down and read about - like the manual would be so helpful.
Last week was my 2nd week of classes at Bedford. Some of the people in there actually know what they are doing...unlike myself. I can point and shoot the heck out of a camera but get to talking about shutter speed, stops, ISO and all that jazz....I get a little lost and somewhat overwhelmed. Tammy encouraged me and told me she would help me with anything. She told me to turn to Youtube. They have tons of tutorials. I am somewhat of a visual/hands on learner. I've watched a few with a better understanding.
Our class was canceled this week due to the inclement weather.
I was glad.
I had not done my homework.
(Don't tell my kids!)
I still have time!
Anywho.
I'm loving my camera.
And many MANY thanks to those that though enough of me to give me this gift. It's a gift that I absolutely love and it's also something that I can also use to share with everyone!
You know who you are!

The New Look

Carson is sporting a new look for basketball this year.
Not sure where it came from and what possessed him to try it.
Baseball socks.

He says he won't play baseball again this year and this might even be his last year to play basketball.
He wants to concentrate solely on football.
We're trying to gently change his mind.
Yes, Carson...I know you read this.
PLAY BASEBALL!
From your loving mother,

Musical Poot

Mike's cousin Lena sends tons of stuff.
This is from her....

You are on the bus when you suddenly realize ... You need to fart.
The music is really loud, so you time your farts with the beat.
After a couple of songs, you start to feel better as you approach your stop.
As you are leaving the bus, people are really staring you down,
And that's when you realize, you have been listening to your Ipod.

Ugly Sweater

Kody attended an Ugly Christmas Sweater party.
He went all out even dressing up to wear Khaki's.
Horrible pictures but this is as good as it gets.
He got this sweater from Wal Mart's women's section.
He added the lighting himself.
How bout that green turtle neck?
That also came from the women's section.
Complete with cute little socks...and yes...they lit up, too.
He makes a momma proud.
